Structural characteristics of gravel pumps

Pump Body and Cover: Grit pumps typically use a single-stage, single-casing structure. The pump body and cover are clamped together using special clamps for easy installation and disassembly. The pump discharge port can be adjusted to any position within 360 degrees, offering flexible and convenient installation and use.
Bearing Assembly: The bearing assembly uses a cylindrical structure, facilitating adjustment of the clearance between the impeller and the pump body. It can be removed as a whole during maintenance, improving maintenance efficiency. The bearings are typically lubricated with grease to ensure stable pump operation.
Impeller: The impeller is the core component of the grit pump, responsible for drawing the medium from the suction port and pushing it to the discharge port. Impeller design must consider wear resistance and impact resistance to accommodate media containing solid particles.
Shaft Seal Type: Grit pumps offer various shaft seal types, including packing seals, expeller seals, and mechanical seals, to ensure that the medium inside the pump body does not leak to the outside.
Flow Passage Material: Flow passage components (such as the impeller, pump body, and wear plates) are typically made of high-hardness wear-resistant alloy cast iron or other wear-resistant materials to accommodate media containing solid particles and extend the pump's service life.
